The CRAXTON MEMORIAL TRUST was established in 1971 in memory of the eminent pianist and teacher Harold Craxton, for the purpose of helping and encouraging young, talented musicians who require financial assistance. It also commemorates his wife Essie and his daughter Janet Craxton, the distinguished oboist who was, like Harold, a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
