Craxton Memorial Trust 2027 Awards

The next awards will be given following auditions in London in May 2027. Please read the conditions of entry for further information.

The Craxton Memorial Trust was established in memory of the eminent pianist and teacher Harold Craxton. The first awards were made in 1978 and since that time over five hundred awards have been given to instrumentalists and pianists.

Awards of between £450 - £1,700 are made every two years following an audition and interview. Assistance includes helping fund post-graduate fees, private lessons or travel expenses to attend courses and competitions, as well as other special projects.

The Trust's aim has always been to provide assistance to highly talented individuals who are in need of financial help and it endeavours to support young musicians who would otherwise lack a vital opportunity at a crucial time in their lives.

Many of today's leading musicians have benefited from awards given by the Craxton Memorial Trust and we are proud to have helped them in their early careers.
