The next round of auditions will be held on 19, 20 and 21 May 2023
Applications are invited from highly talented musicians who are completing their studies, embarking on their professional career or have a special project in mind and who are in need of financial assistance.
There is no restriction on nationality but applicants should have been resident in the UK for a year prior to applying.
Awards are currently made to pianists and instrumentalists, excluding the players of organ, harpsichord and percussion.
We do not give awards to assist with undergraduate expenses.
The age limit is 25 years at the closing date which will be Sunday 5th February 2023. Applicants must have been resident in the UK for at least a year prior to applying
Applications must be submitted on the application form together with a current Curriculum Vitae. There is a non-refundable entry fee of £20.00 which can be paid by BACS, cheque, postal order (made payable to the Harold Craxton Memorial Trust) or cash. The fee is to offset administrative expenses.

Applications must be supported by two references from highly qualified, professional musicians. These references must be sent direct to the administrator by the referees and must arrive by the closing date 5th February 2023.
Applications will not be considered unless all these conditions are met.
Final selection will be by auditions to be held at the Craxton Studios, 14, Kidderpore Avenue, London NW3 7SU.
An accompanist will be provided.
The Trust regrets that it cannot reimburse travel expenses to attend the auditions.
Results of the auditions are notified to applicants approximately four weeks after the auditions.
Acceptance of the applications and the awarding of grants is at the discretion of the committee and trustees. No reasons are given for their decisions.
